Costume designer. At home at every market.

I studied fashion design at HKU and KABK and rolled into film almost by accident. To date I've designed costumes for over forty features, series and shorts, and in 2024 I won the Golden Calf for Best Costume Design for Hardcore Never Dies (Jim Taihuttu).

Though I trained as a fashion designer, designing a character is almost the opposite of that. Fashion looks forward, while a character gives away what came before. I want you to feel someone's history the moment they walk into frame, in the thread, in the seam, sometimes in the air.

Clothing is imagination you can touch. The right costume transforms an actor before the first line is spoken. Sometimes it clicks in one fitting and sometimes it takes weeks, and every project gets its own composition.

I like worn and vintage best: combing through obscure markets, getting lost in costume houses, finding something that's already had a life. Working sustainably is less a position than a habit.

Based between Amsterdam and Paris. Currently seeking representation in France.
